I am always interested in the history of the practice...for some reason the mat itself never crossed my mind! I am now wondering about dates - when did Hugger Mugger create their version? When did Farmer first try her original version? Very interesting article!

Very good article! I hope Ruth encourages people to consider the environment when purchasing a mat and suggests mats free of carcinogens and other toxins.

Now if we can get all the mat manufacturers to produce "healthy" mats, free of carcinogens and other toxins, that will be a day we can all rejoice!
