Are any of the videos on DVD?

Rebekah

You forgot "the yoga of Breath" by Richard Rosen, which I have just finished reading on the heels of "light on pranayama". Seriously, though- great book and thanks for the list, although my significant other will NOT thank you. My library of yoga, anatomy, Pilates, etc books keeps growing

Rajendar Menen

There is no end to reading. Yoga is a work in progress. Every moment you learn more and more and this will continue for infinity. I am sure the great B.K.S. iyengar is also learing after so many decades. Incidentally, I saw him recently in india and he looks like a lion, a great advertisement for yoga.

I have the old VHS of the brilliant 'Yoga For Beginners' with Patricia Walden, but was wondering if I could get this on DVD? Also, as I live in Europe, are they region-free or only available to play on certain DVD players?

Danny

I would like to see more articles about Kali Ray Tri-Yoga which is strictly a non-profit style of Yoga which I have found to be the best Yoga yet. There are several DVD's available which are great.

Duffy

Going into my 3rd year of practice I feel like a beginner, or maybe an intermediate beginner. I have read some of the books on Richards list and I find reading and studying a great book on yoga is a tremendous help in understanding the deeper purpose and meaning of yoga. One book not listed that I especially find helpful is Iyengar's Light on Life.

Hanna Garcia Landa

It would have been nice to read reviews of DVDs, not only videos.
Plus, can I watch these 'tapes' in Europe too or are they all only for the US-Canadian market?

Sharon

Interesting you put Mohan's book as a beginners book. It's really an advanced book if you don't think acheiving things through yoga is the goal:-)

Sharon

What about Andre Lappe DVD series I & II??

Tricia

Nice selection, Richard. And I also agree with Deborah's additions. One more book that is aimed toward teachers but has clear and profoundly effective alignment guides is John Friend's Anusara Yoga Teacher Training Manual, which clearly outlines John's universal principles of alignment. Although I've read it several times, every time I review a section, I learn something new that deepens my practice. Great as a quick reference for energetic alignment! You can buy it on his website anusara.com.
