Yoga Journal, I don't know how you do it.....the number of times I've thought about something yoga related, be it specifically targeted poses, diet, whatever...today I was thinking about how I'll miss yoga as I'm meeting a friend at lunchtime whom I've not met for ages. I work various shifts so i can only fit in so many activities in daytime and yoga classes are to a timetable so I'm limited in how often i can go. So I thought maybe I should do something at home in the 45 minutes I have before needing to get ready to leave the house....when what should pop into my inbox but today's theme of home practice. So once again you've read my thoughts and the email of the day is totally relevant to today's conundrum! =) Thank you!

I alternate between and studio and home practice. Lately I have found the home practice to be more effective because of better concentration, less pressure to perform, and obviously more cost effective.
However, I being a social animal like all humans, I like the idea of going to the studio to meet new, interesting people, and talk with instructors for advice on particular poses.
Based on the information I provided, how do you choose if a home or studio practice is best. I would guess you would probably say both in my situation. Thanks.

Lovely article - I've sent this to my students as I'm off next week and want to encourge them to practice at home. At the end of the day yoga is about autonomy and freedom and giving people the ability to practice by themselves is key to teaching!

I would suggest you one thing if you let us know how to motivate people during the class, that would be great for me because students feel boring with yoga class so they don't continue their practice for long time.
