I thank Claudia for her writing, and for sharing her expertise. In a contentious world, I want to promote appreciation, and 'glass half full' thinking. Just as there are many ways to teach a pose, there are many ways to write about restorative yoga. Non-violence comes before truth; ahimsa, then satya. Let us send and receive love.

I teach a restorative class, and some of my favorites are reclined baddha konasana, legs up a wall, supported fish, frog, pigeon (if your hips are veeery open), child's pose/seashell, and of course, savasana.

I am a yoga teacher and as a devotee of restoratve yoga enjoyed reading it and related to what was said. Perhaps for less experienced yogis deeper explanation with a few more poses and pics would be useful.

I agree with Amu. No sustenance.

A minha vivencia foi maravilhosa. Iniciei a prática com dor na coluna (hérnia de disco torácica), ao termino da aula, corpo, mente e alma restaurados em estado de Santosha.

Sydney Solis

I believe restorative yoga is an incredible healing practice, especially in winter. To really surrender, let go, slow down, allow the body to heal and restore offers profound insight, wisdom and transformation not only for your self but that which transforms the world.
