Just a few weeks after Dodgers catcher Russell Martin was in the news for doing yoga, another baseball star has reported losing 35 pounds after adding yoga to his training regimen. Although Carlos Silva, of the Seattle Mariners, credits yoga as a contributor to his weight loss—he also saw a nutritionist—it doesn't sound like he's a life-time convert just yet.

"I'm telling you, man, that's the worst thing I ever did in my life," he recently told a USA Today reporter. "I was so stiff. My God, it was so painful. Because I was pretty strong, I thought, 'Yoga, big deal. I can do that.' I couldn't hold the positions. My body wouldn't twist. After the first 10 minutes I told my wife, 'I can't do this any more!"'

What do you think of his quotes? Did any of you have similar feelings toward yoga when you first started practicing?
