Roll Your Stress Away

If you daydream about having a personal massage therapist at your beck and call to ease the stress and tension you accumulate during a hard day, look no further. With the use of just a few simple props, it's easy to sooth the tense knots on your own, without the help of a profession or even a partner. Massaging your body's tense parts is an inexpensive and easy way to give your body the care and attention it needs. For the following massage all you need is a foam pool "noodle" you can buy at any toy store rolled in a towel. Try this easy chest opener and feel the stress roll away:

Lie on the roller with your knees bent and your feet on the floor, so the roller extends along your spine from your sitting bones to the top of your head. You can either relax on the roller without moving (which opens your chest laterally) or roll gently from side to side to massage the muscles along your spine. Try it for at least 20 seconds or until your chest begins to relax and open.
