It's time for your practice; it's time just for you—time to put away the distractions and stressors of daily life. It's time to do something that's healthy for your body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga can teach us the value of ritual, but we can take that lesson in many personal directions in our lives. For example, perhaps there's something that's deeply relaxing to you for personal reasons. That something might be walking in a garden, spending time with a photograph of a loved one, or playing affectionately with a pet. Try turning those moments into a daily or weekly ritual. Commit to taking time to include that ritual in your life regularly. Take it seriously. After a few weeks, you may find that you can't live without it!
