Internationally recognized for its professional career training in yoga education since 1994, over 2100 Nosara Yoga Teachers from 23 countries draw from the power of their own creativity for offering a spectrum of classes ranging from vigorous vinyasa to indvidualized yoga therapeutics. With recognition as an International Yoga Alliance School and a founding member school of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the NYI 200, 500, and 1000-hour career tracks include Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training, Advanced Yoga Career Development and certification to professionally yoga services as: Pranassage Practitioners, Self- Awakening Yoga Therapeutics teachers and Personal Yoga Guide/Mentor/Coaches.
What makes the curriculum of NYI unique is our foundation in Inquiry-based yoga learning, our 30 years of refining the skill of generating experiential learning environments that foster sacred space, and our emphasis on addressing the whole, multidimensional person. Echoing the biodiversity inherent in the surrounding natural environment is an equally diverse, interdisciplinary approach to yoga that places the highest value on delving into the very roots of yogic inquiry. When your understanding and insights into yoga are grounded in your own experience, you will have a foundation for life-long learning and teaching—wherever your developmental path carries you.
The schedules and curriculum of every program honor the time and space it takes for Nature to work her miracle of bringing the rhythms of self into ever-deeper harmony with the rhythms of Nature. On any given day while you are here involved in a rigorous yoga teacher training, you will have time to digest your experience by relaxing or walking on the beach,( two miles of it,) and exploring the wonders of the surrounding jungle community .
