We are a wellness center that is here to help others toward a more harmonious life. The center fosters a healthy, more energized body and a calmer mind. We offer a large variety of classes and workshops that support improved physical and emotional health, and a heightened awareness of self connected to the divine. The center offers yoga, Pilates mat, Pilates equipment, massage therapy and counseling. We are a 200-hour yoga teacher training program registered with Yoga Alliance.
Teaching from both the Eastern and Western traditions, Acadiana Yoga & Wellness offers its clients heightened results from individualized attention via smaller class sizes and more qualified teachers. We have ongoing yoga and Pilates classes six days a week. Private sessions are also available. Styles include vinyasa, raja, Jivamukti and Anusara. No membership is required, drop-ins welcome. Discounted class cards available.
We are centrally located in Lafayette's Oil Center, one street from the university's campus. Our mission is to cultivate the highest standard of the teachings and practices of yoga in a safe and compassionate environment. We are more than a location. This is a space made sacred by those who enter it.
We have been in our present location since 2009. Our founder, Jerry Smith-Guidry, E-RYT 500, has been teaching since 1990. She has been certified with White Lotus Yoga Foundation, Jivamukti Yoga and PhysicalMInd Institute. She is an Anusara Yoga-inspired teacher, a licensed massage therapist and an ordained minister.
Practice your yoga here and let your inner radiance shine forth!
