The New York Open Center is dedicated to offering holistic educational programs and cultural events that expand the mind, nurture the spirit and awaken the essence in everyone. We offer workshops, classes, lectures, conferences and professional trainings, led by teachers with wisdom, passion and skill. Professional training programs in the bodywork/yoga area include Prana Yoga teacher training, prenatal yoga teacher training, the Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage certification training and the Reiki System of Natural Healing— to name a few. Also offered each season are ongoing classes, full day, half-day and evening workshops in different styles of yoga (in addition to our other subject areas). Hundreds of thousands have come through our doors to find fresh intellectual perspectives, paths to healing, deepening of their spiritual lives and new careers that will allow them to be of service and express their true calling.
In addition to our classes the Open Center also has an extensive wellness services department, which offers sessions in a selection of over 20 healing modalities including acupressure and deep tissue massage, as well as a specialty bookstore and cafe. Over the last couple of years we have also developed an online division (learn.opencenter.org) so that people throughout the country and the world can experience all that the Open Center has to offer in the comfort of their own homes.
