Namaste USA Yoga offers 200- and 500-hour teacher training as a Yoga Alliance-registered school. Courses consist of 20-hour weekend immersion workshops once monthly. Training focuses on the experiential, practical and theoretical aspects of yoga and its potential to bring about holistic transformation. Students who simply wish to deepen their own yoga practice are also welcome.
Individualized to meet your specific goals, our curriculum is designed to help you develop and refine your own practice and deepen your knowledge of yoga and your self. Our training provides in-depth study and practice of asana and pranayama; meditation; chanting; physical and energetic aspects of anatomy and physiology; yoga philosophy, ethics and lifestyle; teaching methodology; and practicum--all the areas of study needed to prepare knowledgeable yoga teachers with excellent qualifications.
Based on Vanda Scaravelli's discoveries revealed in Awakening the Spine, our teaching method guides you through a unique and user-friendly approach to asana practice. You will experience and understand the natural principles of gravity and breath; use these insights to revolutionize your own practice; and listen to your innate wisdom and physical sensation in a way that works with instead of against the body. Dramatic results are common and to be expected. Many of our graduates have chosen to specialize in teaching Vanda Scaravelli's unique approach in conducting their own classes and workshops, which are most widely available in the Dallas area. Other graduates are teaching in Hong Kong and in several states outside Texas.
