The Foundations of Yogatherapy Certificate Program is a 310-hour program that contains a Yoga Teacher Training Program (Yoga Alliance 200-hour). This program introduces students to the philosophy, applied techniques, diagnostics, and therapeutic principles of Yoga and Yogatherapy, and frames itself as a journey that supports individual and collective healing, well-being, and awakening on all levels. Through profound contact with the essential core-being, therapists empower healing using the tools of breath, body, heart and mind.
The Diploma of Yogatherapy is an in-depth, 1270-hour course of study in the theory and practice of Yogatherapy (Yoga Alliance 500-hour). Students integrate Yogic practice and philosophy with study and application of somatic and transpersonal Psychology and applied Counseling skills. Students concurrently gain in-depth skills in Eastern and Western Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, and movement Rehabilitation. Advanced training includes valuable supervised clinic-work. Additionally, as a part of the Community Project, students conduct research on a particular client condition and/or special-needs population and then develop and deliver an 8-week clinic/class for the chosen client/population and present their findings and research in a final dissertation.
