Nydia's Yoga Therapy studio offers a variety of hatha yoga classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Nydia also provides specialized instruction and mentoring for teachers/advanced practitioners desiring to continue their education in the therapeutic application of yoga for injury prevention and rehabilitation. All individuals are welcome to practice regardless of age, shape or fitness level. All you need is a willing spirit, a desire to connect with your body and a sense of humor. Your first two classes are free. You will love it!
Nydia's Yoga Therapy offers experienced teachers that will encourage students to use breath as a guide for monitoring individual intensity level during yoga practice. Our yoga classes are influenced by Ashtanga, Iyengar, vinyasa, restorative and Power Yoga. Nydia's extensive experience in orthopedic, spine and womens' health physical therapy is also woven into the instruction that she provides. Nydia's Yoga Therapy teachers help each student build a strong foundation for the yoga practice by emphasizing use of proper technique and alignment. They are skilled in guiding the students verbally or by using gentle hands-on adjustments and modifications to the postures, as necessary, to promote improved mobility and stability within the individual student's practice. Our students are encouraged to focus on being present in the moment by following the rhythm of their breath. Students are reminded to practice regularly and to always honor their bodies' abilities and limitations as this leads to a greater connection between the spiritual and physical self and the healing qualities of yoga.
