Indonesia, a land of over 13,000 islands, spreads like jewels from the far reaches of Irian Jaya to the rainforests of Borneo. Lying just to the east of Java is a unique gem fashioned by the hands of its people into a perfectly landscaped paradise . . . Bali. It is the home of over three million inhabitants, a blend of ancient Hindu, Buddhist, animistic, shamanistic and Muslim peoples. Bali embodies a spiritual and cultural existence like nowhere else on earth.

The deep reverence with which the Balinese live in harmony with nature and each other is reflective of their deep roots and the honoring of all life. We go to Bali to join in that honoring.

We will journey into the heart of the Balinese world view that sees the three most important aspects of our being as our connection with nature, with each other and with spirit.

With this world view as our foundation for our time together, we invite students, teachers and adventurers to deepen their practice.

This year we are offering a very unique and special opportunity to live in the village, deepen your own practice, participate in Yoga for the Village People and receive teacher training certification and hours towards Yoga Alliance registration and credit or continuing education credit.

This experience will focus on yoga therapy, sequencing of asana, physical and subtle anatomy and bhakti yoga, as well as living in a Balinese village with our Balinese friends and family.

Accommodations in the village can be arranged according to your budget, so the cost of your time in Bali will depend on the length of your stay and your accommodations.

We often adventure to the beach for four nights of yoga and beach time with optional surfing and surf lessons.

Experience the softness of Bali: forests, picturesquely sculpted rice terraces, looming volcanoes, deep lush river gorges, warm soothing seas and sand beaches. Visit Balians (Balinese healers) and local artisans. Attend temple ceremony, celebrations and ritual. Experience an array of exotic Balinese dance performances and music. Enjoy Balinese massage and spa treatments.

On the Island of Bali yogic soul is alive and tangible as culture blends with spirituality and Bali's earth based Hinduism blends with her mother India. This yoga adventure brings the experience of bhakti and your yoga practice to a new level.

We will weave daily yoga classes into the adventure, culture and spiritual life of Bali.

Accommodations:
Our magical accommodations are in a small artisan village adjacent to Ubud and the sacred monkey forest.

Art, dance, music, temple ceremony, yoga and Balinese ritual, swimming in the fresh water pools and walking in the rice fields naturally merge with our daily activities and village life.

Nyuh Kunning is the place in Bali where we are most at home, having nurtured friendships there for 23 years.

This is a perfect place for massage, connecting with our Balinese healers and friends, optional surfing lessons, walking the beach, enjoying sunsets and swimming in the ocean or the pool, river rafting and bicycling through the rice fields.

Meals:
Breakfast is included at our accommodations served by our gracious Balinese staff. Most other meals are on your own.

Cost:
Price TBA depending on choice of accommodation in the village.
