It’s Yoga's 200-hour teacher certification is an integrative approach that focuses on the scientific study of asana, yoga anatomy and postural mechanics, which incorporate elements of facilitated stretching, bio-mechanics and movement therapeutics. Standards are enhanced in preparation for professional training (RYT 500) by the introduction of raja yoga, yogic philosophy and Sanskrit terminology.

Students learn to conduct classes and practice teaching in several styles such as hatha, vinyasa and modified Ashtanga/Power Yoga so that trainees can modify their teaching repertoire according to current demands of various classes and develop confidence in their teaching skills before completing the program.

It's Yoga's 500-hour teacher certification is designed to enhance teaching skills by establishing a firm foundation of yogic knowledge designed to produce well-rounded, full-spectrum professional yoga teachers. Advanced yoga theory, technique and therapeutics will be taught in relation to muscular kinesiology, myofascial sheaths, and the biotensegrity of connective tissue. The science of Ayurveda along with a detailed study of energy patterns in relation to asana, prana, nadis and marman will be used to diagnose and correct postural and lifestyle imbalances. Advanced pranayama and meditation techniques will be practiced and insights recorded to track personal progress. Samkhya cosmology will be introduced so that the trainee fully understands the foundation of yogic theory, ontology and literature. The wisdom of the second and third padas of the Yoga Sutra and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita will be explored as well as various yogic lineages including Tantra and Vedanta.
