The World Yoga Center (WYC) is a vibrant community dedicated to the practices of yoga that bring us together into higher consciousness. Our teaching team is committed to the discovery of the true purpose of yoga: to live an awakened and authentic life.

WYC is known for its integrity, its senior instructors and the personal quality of its classes. It has been a haven for yoga practitioners since 1972 and celebrated its 40th year of service to the community in February 2012.

WYC offers a full schedule of Anusara Yoga classes for all levels, basics classes, restorative yoga, fertility, therapeutics, meditation courses and other specialty classes. There is something for everyone, whether it be energizing asana, meditation experience, therapeutics for injury and physical challenges, or spiritual expansion. Special programs include immersions, summer and fall retreats, a mentoring program, monthly meditation gatherings (satsang), kirtan, and a Yoga Alliance-certified 200-hour teacher training program. Private instruction is available for hatha yoga and meditation.

The World Yoga Center is a beautiful Upper West Side oasis of yoga.  The Center is a national Yoga Alliance-registered teacher training school.
