From March 1–7, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, one of India's largest spiritual institutions, resting on the banks of the sacred Ganges river, in the lap of the towering Himalayas, hosts an internationally renowned gathering of the world's leading yoga experts, including main yogis in the Sivananda tradition, Bihar school of yoga and a wide variety of other lineages. The asana classes include everything ranging from Kundalini Yoga to Iyengar Yoga to vinyasa flow to Shinto to kriya yoga to ashtanga taught by master yogis from India as well as renowned international yoga experts.  There are also a wide variety of offerings including pranayama, meditation, Reiki, Yoga Nidra, and nada yoga.

The International Yoga Festival focuses not only on the physical aspect of yoga (the asana class offerings are with some of the top teachers in the world) but also on bringing true yoga (divine union) to your body, heart, mind and spirit. A highlight of the festival is the presence of true yogic spiritual masters and saints, including some of the most revered spiritual teachers in India. There are also classes in practical Ayurveda and how to balance your dosha through every aspect of life. Each evening is filled with ecstatic prayer, song and celebration on the banks of the Ganges with devotional chanting and kirtan. Come let yourself be taught, touched and transformed!
