Stop and Breathe® is a program founded by Susan Ginsberg, E-RYT 200, which teaches breathing, relaxation, and visualization techniques to anyone going through stress, whether it be in their own life, the workplace or in a medical setting. Originally implemented in hospitals and cancer centers, this program expanded in the workplace and in organizations as a way to combat stress and encourage a more healthful way of living. This has an inherent benefit to the employers, as their employees will not only be more productive when they have the tools to combat day-to-day stress, but will also have increased health and well-being, and thus fewer sick days.
Stop and Breathe® sessions involve guided breathing, relaxations and visualizations. This allows the individual to deeply relax, facilitating the healing process and reducing stress and anxiety. Each session is highly soothing and the goal is to provide clients with tools that they can also take with them in the future, should the need arise.
