Better Bodies Yoga, established in 2004 and located in East Memphis, offers hatha yoga seven days a week, with numerous classes for every level of student, from beginner to advanced. The studio is immaculate, peaceful and welcoming to every body. All instructors are certified at 200 hours and above, teaching with attention to alignment and safety.
We provide two free yoga classes weekly specifically for individuals with cancer and their support persons. We also specialize in therapeutic yoga for persons with sport-specific injuries and special populations.
Every class and private lesson ends with our signature final relaxation comprised of a hot towel (cold in the heated classes) covering the eyes and a foot and neck rub. We are an export site in partnership with Annie Carpenter and offer 200-/300-hour and advanced Yoga Alliance SmartFlow teacher training certification programs, with the next session starting in September 2013.
The spacious studio consists of two large buildings housing an NBA-quality, spring-back wooden floor designed for optimal joint protection, a Great Yoga Wall®, a hot yoga heating system, private instruction and meditation, and we offer the only outdoor yoga studio with twelve flowing fountains. In our boutique, open during studio hours, we sell yoga clothes, props, mats, books and much more.
Our intention is to give the gift of yoga to anyone who desires to incorporate yoga into her/his lifestyle—regardless of age, size, physical condition, race, religion, or gender—in a calm, nonjudgmental, invigorating, self-paced and inspiring atmosphere.
See website for all studio details.
