Engage, explore, and immerse yourself in the transformational teachings of Yoga.  This deep immersion will explore asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, practical anatomy/physiology, therapeutic alignment principles, hands-on adjustments, upper & lower body therapeutics, chair yoga, and yogic assessments and wellness screens.  Learn both classical yoga poses and modifications so that you can instruct yoga based wellness classes in a wide variety of complementary settings including hospitals, yoga studios, businesses, and community health care settings. As an affiliate school of Integrative Yoga Therapy, the Aloha Yoga Shala teacher training program in Hawai'i utilizes the Integrative Yoga Therapy curriculum from the lineage of Joseph and Lillian Le Page, both visionary leaders in the field of Yoga therapy in the United States. Many graduates of the IYT program also develop specialty programs, such as Yoga for back care, depression, seniors, stress management, diabetes and other health conditions. Our program is registered with Yoga Alliance and upon completion graduates are eligible for 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) status.
