The Bhaktishop was created in 2007 as a place where your creative, dynamic soul could be brought out and celebrated. We share a lifelong love of the mystical traditions that created yoga, as well as poetry, music and life as teacher.
At our yoga center we merge age-old bhakti practices with the grace of hatha yoga in a safe, sane, totally accessible environment where all are welcome. Join us in the heart for more than 35 love-filled vinyasa/hatha drop-in classes weekly, both a 200-hour, 500-hour and Prenatal yoga school, trips to local hot springs, tropical retreats, vibrant workshops, satsangs and meditations, and a deep and soulful kirtan community. But most of all, service and devotion every single day.
All of our teachers are warm and welcoming, with extensive training in alignment details, classical hatha and varying free and flowing styles of vinyasa practice, and actual deep and lived connections to practice. We celebrate everyone's journey on this path. We offer a scholarship program, donation classes and a Hard Times Benefit for those in financial need, so that everyone is served.
We aim to honor and revere yoga in all of its diversity, with an attitude of grace and a willingness to allow the profound openings that come from a committed life in a steady stream of yoga practice. With this resolute devotion to be in service to humanity, we humbly serve the notion that all beings everywhere deserve happiness and freedom!
Our Portland yoga community is a warm and loving family, and with wide open arms, we welcome you home.
