Sedona YogaLife Academy 200-Hour, 5 Weekend Yoga Teacher Training
Five 4-Day Weekends, One Each Month, January-May 2014
Jan. 24-27 * Feb. 14-17 * March 7-10 * April 11-14 * May 16-19
This in-depth training is led by Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, Ph.D., assisted by a team of expert guest instructors. Sharon Day and Jeff Masters, plus renowned guest Rama Jyoti Vernon, will help teach the myriad dimensions of Yoga, the healing practices of Ayurvedic Lifestyle, and Anatomy applied to Yoga all combined to benefit body, mind and spirit. Our commitment is to guide you to deepen your practice of Yoga on the mat and in life, and to help you become confident sharing the best of Yoga with others.
Focus is on learning, living and teaching Patanjali's classical eight limbs of Yoga sometimes called Raja (Kingly) Yoga; sharing numerous Yoga styles; and applying ancient yoga philosophy to modern life. Enjoy yoga amid Sedona's red rocks, creekside discussions, meditation, expanding consciousness and personal transformation. Attend the full program or any weekend. See weekend topics on our website. This training is designed for Yoga students or teachers who wish to deepen their practice, whether or not they can attend the whole program, as well as for those who wish to become teachers.
Our basic curriculum includes more than the Yoga Alliance required hours for yoga techniques, teaching methods, anatomy and physiology, philosophy, ethics, and lifestyle, plus a practicum project, mentoring program with a teacher in your area, and electives--over 200 hours, 38 hours per 4-day weekend. Our policies and teaching practices adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Yoga Alliance.
Schedule and Fees: $2600 paid in full in advance or $2800 with monthly payments for 5-weekend trainings; $600 per individual weekend. Tuition includes instruction, activities, training manual, and three Ayurvedic meals daily (everyone sharing in kitchen seva). Books and materials are not included. Program starts at 2pm Fri. and ends 2:30 pm Mon. Affordable lodging available-- www.contentmentlodge.com
Workshops Open to All: Each weekend we offer four open workshops for continuing education credit with the Yoga Alliance. For Saturday-Sunday morning workshops open to guests, see topics listed on our website at www.yogalife.net/workshops.html
