RYS 300 Hour Part I: Advanced Therapeutic Applications (160 hours)
This program will teach you in-depth about joint anatomy and the muscles that control them. Learn how to address common conditions in a private or group setting by first employing specific range of motion evaluations and then how to apply them to specific Yoga Asanas. All courses are Thursday-Sunday from 9:00am-6:00pm. Total five weekends
Lower Body Therapeutic Applications is designed to address the muscular system of the lower body for common hip, knee, ankle and foot ailments.
Trunk and Spine Therapeutic Applications is designed to address the muscular system of the trunk and spine, addressing the huge industry of back pain and spinal injuries.
Upper Body Therapeutic Applications is designed to address the muscular system of the upper body, including the issues involved with bearing one’s weight on the wrist and shoulders.
Cervical Spine Therapeutic Applications is designed to address the muscular system of the cervical and capital spine, including its function and relevance to the study of joint mechanics. Experience a comprehensive range of motion evaluation of the body and how to address importance.
Advanced Yoga I.S.® Teaching Techniques will introduce many poses that are considered “advanced” in Hatha Yoga. Learn why we might or might not want to introduce them to our students. Learn how to progress these postures for students, modifications, and cueing techniques. Class sequencing, cueing, and adjusting techniques for therapeutic, athletic, and gentle styles for specific populations will be addressed.
