SMC is the premier yoga therapy studio in the Bay Area. We offer classes for healthy backs, core strengthening, remedies for aches and pains, stress management and Ornish-style heart health. We offer more ViniYoga than any other studio in the country, as well as Angela Farmer's Inner Body style, Ananda Yoga, Yin Yoga, vinyasa flow (beginners/advanced), and Iyengar.

In addition to studio classes, we specialize in private and family sessions seven days a week, including one-on-one stretching and injury management for executives and athletes, kids and pre-/postnatal moms. We provide yoga for Kaiser Permanente, the Brain Injury Network of the Bay Area, a local high school football team, and people with various learning/mental challenges. We offer yoga classes for veterans and work with clients with post-traumatic stress, concussions and whiplash. We have published research on traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and two more studies starting this year on TBIs and sports injuries.

We offer a 200-/500-/800-hour teacher training in yoga therapy. We are a Yoga Alliance and International Association of Yoga Therapists member school and work closely with IAYT to make sure that we align our work with their recommendations.

One of our teachers, Nicole DeAvilla, is a published author. Her latest book, The 2 Minute Yoga Solution, has great ways to incorporate yoga into daily life.Â
