Founders, Brandyn and Mario, are both enthusiasts of creating modern spaces, living healthy, music, traveling, and spending time with their friends and family. Their unique story of love and life were their inspiration to open sigh yoga. Brandyn moved to Minneapolis in June of 2006 to expand her luxury real estate company that she co-founded. Mario had recently moved back to Minneapolis from London to be closer to his parents and to start his business; TM2. After an introduction to Mario by a friend, they immediately knew there was something special between them. Brandyn's health at that time was deteriorating due to her genetic kidney disease; "PKD". Her older sister, Shantel, was not affected by the disease but was unfortunately not able to donate. Feeling crushed at the time and close to starting dialysis, Brandyn's prayers were answered when Mario's test results proved that he was a match. "What are the chances we often wonder? We look back and have to laugh!" Since Brandyn sold her shares in her real estate company after the transplant, starting a new business was always on her mind. She knew she didn't want to go back into the real estate business but found it hard to find her next calling. Being a dedicated yoga student, she completed her 200 hour certified yoga teaching program. At that point, it became clear to her that she wanted to share yoga with her community and offer a special environment to do it in. It was important to her to find yoga teachers equally as passionate about teaching.
