Life, Liberation, and the Pursuit of True Happiness:
Investigating the Intersection of Yoga Scriptures and the Teachings of the Buddha
Join NYC based yogi Robin Pickering for a Memorial Day weekend retreat on 500 acres near Whitefish, Montana. We all want to be happy, but we don't always have the practical tools to end our own suffering and stress and become truly, lastingly happy. What we thought would make us content inevitably disappoints us instead. During this retreat, we will explore age-old Yogic and Buddhist teachings, asana, breath awareness, chanting, and meditation and, through them, discover that we are truly in control of our own happiness. We will practice yoga twice daily and thrive on gourmet vegan meals with live options. Enjoy hiking or simply nature reflection as we relax and rejuvenate over this long weekend.
Cost (not including airfare) is $1025 Registration deadline is May 7th. Robin Pickering graduated from the intensive Teacher Training program at Manhattan's Jivamukti Yoga Center in 2000. She has taught public and private classes for nine years throughout NYC. Robin focuses on the breath, teachings from ancient and contemporary yogic texts, meditation, and poses and vinyasa in the Jivamukti style (with an Anusara alignment influence). As both a teacher and student, she is very interested in making the yoga practice applicable to daily life off the mat.
