Raja Yoga—300-/600-hour teacher training programs.
Students at the Institute of the Himalayan Tradition are imbued with the classic yoga wisdom of the Himalayan sages as conveyed by our founder, Sri Swami Rama. We pass on a comprehensive understanding of the philosophy and practical applications of the science of yoga in classes and retreats, as well as in seminars teaching wellness, stress management and family living. In addition to the multi-level hatha yoga classes, IHT offers a teachers' training program with four 300-/600-hour certification programs in beginning, intermediate, and advanced hatha, raja and meditation. The Institute’s ashram guides students with the direction of Swami Jaidev and Ma Devi. Its publishing house, Yes International Publishers, produces books and audio/videos in wellness and spirituality, as well as its quarterly yoga journal, Himalayan Path. The Institute is a forum for those who desire to explore human potential. We offer programs that touch our lives from the mundane to the sacred, from business to mythology. We ground students in a natural, holistic approach in body, mind and spirit. IHT investigates the essence of spirituality without the need for any denomination or sectarian persuasion. The broad spectrum of these transformative programs are designed to instill a sense of self-reliance and guide one to envision life as a learning journey to ultimate fulfillment. Many of our teachers are authors in the fields of human potential; some are also university faculty or business consultants. Private appointments and initiation into the Himalayan Tradition are available by request.
