Course One: hatha yoga teacher training.
200-hour Yoga Alliance-registered school, begins March, July and October of 2010. Your choice of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday training classes. One half-day per week for nine months. Course outline includes techniques, teaching methods, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and ethics, practicum and electives. Call, email and see our new website for more details. Course Two: prenatal yoga teacher training, for teachers only. Intensive weekend, Saturday 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., 10 hours total. Includes designing a prenatal class, integrating pregnant women into mainstream classes, pose modification/props, anatomy and physiology, pregnancy flow, sequencing and teaching methods. Daily Chicago-based classes in prenatal yoga, birth and labor support, Mom and Baby yoga. Corporate and private classes are by appointment only. Group classes held at Soulistic Studio at 805 N. Milwaukee Ave., second floor, and Self Centered Yoga at 2201 W. Belmont in Chicago.
