"Namasté" (na-ma-stay) is a Sanskrit greeting that means "I honor the divine in you." The highest form of salutation, it confers a humble respect and a gentle admiration.

Namasté Yoga provides yoga instruction for the metropolitan Detroit area, offered by knowledgeable and compassionate teachers.

Class offerings include Anusara—all levels, Ashtanga, basic, basic plus, better backs, Eischens Yoga, Kundalini, prenatal, Baby and Me, Toddler and Me, restorative, vinyasa, Yin, Yoga Fusion (yoga + Pilates), Yoga for the Emotional Body, Mindfulness Yoga, Yoga at the Wall, introduction to yoga.

Namasté Yoga was the first teacher training school in Michigan certified by the Yoga Alliance. YogaShala is Namasté's 200 RYS Yoga Alliance teacher training program. The next training is scheduled for January 2010.

Individual teachers specialize in Ayurveda, yoga therapeutics, mantra, chakra, Shamansana, Eischens Yoga, pregnant partner workshops, Kundalini, and partner yoga sessions. Workshops are offered in these areas throughout the year.

The Namasté Yoga community is active in various causes partnering with churches, non-profits, homeless shelters and individuals.
