Dear Yoga Journal, I'd like to get back copies as well as subscribe to your magazine.
However I notice that there is no option under 'country' apart for the USA - I live in South Africa.
Hope to hear from you soon

Hi. Just saw Yoga Toes on Steven and Chris. Where can I purchase in Cape Town? Thanx
Come to the Biggest Yoga Class in Africa this Saturday in Cape Town! It's going to be HUGE! x
The yoga toes work great!!! I use them every night- esp good after a day when I have to wear shoes, which I don't like to do. The separate the toes, add width & stability to the upper foot. I feel much more grounded when I use them in my practice
theresa (South Africa)
Thanks for comment on toes. We in South Africa go barefoot a lot due to many months of fine weather. In fact certain populations are allowed to go to school barefoot as part of tradition. In addition the poor who live in the rural areas often dont have access to shoes at all. I still notice a lot of discomfort expressed by my pupils when we do toe exercises. Men especially seem to complain. Elderly men are more prone to painful toes, the result being that the experience stiff leg joints and lower back.
I have had the great fortune to have Julie as a teacher; it is
so exquisitie to stay in touch with her wisdom through Yoga
Journal! Her insights are invaluable. Thank you for a timely article (and my students thank you ,too!).
What about these yoga toes that are sold? Do they work, do they feel good or do they hurt?
Your article is, I think, really helpful for keeping toes healthy. The advices, excercises
( postures), and explanations you have given is worthy of it. But I would like to mention that there is simple toe movement exercise which you have not mention. That is, sitting on the floor and moving the toes forword and backword, then on the same position, abduction and adduction. Toe messegs can be done on half-lotus posture. I myself got plenty of information from your article.
I have worked a lot in my yoga practice with these foot and toe exercises and have experienced tremendous improvement in my fallen arches. I think an expanded version of this article would be great for the magazine.
