I get migraines with an aura that comes before the headache starts. Some years ago the aura started when I was in yoga class. I kept going into a wide-legged forward bend. After the aura wore off - no headache! Now whenever the aura starts I bend forward for a few minutes, and have never had the headache since. My doctor thinks it helps by redirecting the blood flow. Works for me.
I had been suffering migraines weekly and my doctor started me on 400mg of B2/riboflavin daily and I haven't had one since! Along with some lifestyle changes that have decreased my BP, I think the B2 has really helped!
Watch out for the triptans suggested above, they often result in rebound headaches the next day.

From what he and others say, I get the impression that many headaches start in the internal organs--as a result of pollution of those organs.
