It's like savasana... never underestimate the power of a good, long rest.
I understand and appreciate the healing nature of baineotherapy. It is important to make sure that certain people understand the difference in soaking in a bath as opposed to a hot tub, etc. I suffer from a nervous system disorder and am expressly prohibited from hot tubs or extremely hot baths. Conscious bathing is warm and I am happy that the article listed the temperatures specific to the therapy. Great job.

The healing benefits of warm water with botanicals is not just for the body, but for the mind. Even if you are not a bather, a nice foot soak or aromatic shower can get you started. I have to wonder about the lack of benefit from essential oils that was mentioned.
Essential oils will benefit your body whether they are absorbed or inhaled so I would have to personally disagree with that particular statement. I make wonderful bath products full of pure botanicals and essential oils available at botanicbath.etsy.com

I'm so happy to see this! I agree with Shannon that we must make more time in our lives for conscious bathing. I am a soap crafter (www.sacredsuds.com), and I am a firm believer in the benefits of ritual bathing, not just for stress relief, but for bringing all sorts of positive energy into your life. Personally, I craft soaps inspired by yogic concepts like Prana, Om, and Shakti energy, and I use them in my bath to help me remember to breathe, tune in, and create. Bathing becomes yogic, joining body and spirit. It's wonderful!

This is sooo true! You always hear something different in regards to bathing in a tub - is it benefitial or not? I also agree with you... this is a relaxing way to relieve stress and tension in the body! We should have more time in life for ourselves!!!
