Yoga citta vriti nirodh--It truly means that the structure of mind is such that same thoughts keep on coming again and again-as if a cassette is rewinded and forwarded and played again and again. By practicing yoga and meditation you develop the ability to stop these rotations of thoughts in the mind and save lot of energy being wasted.
yoga is very useful
I will also share this with my class tomorrow :)
Missing the section on Christopher Tompkins's meditation guide?

Yoga asana is meditation in motion, as we breathe, we move our bodies & the mind rests. In savasana the body melts, we learn to let go of it & the thoughts...
we become the silent witness & merge with spirit.
Meditation gives us the abundance & strength of the universe reminding us we are all one, it's all God
I've been practicing Yoga for a couple years now. Mostly at home, but I'm taking a class now; and I want to learn to meditate. I tried it for the first time today!! I'm going to everyday this week!!
I am a yoga teacher in Hull, England. I'm really looking forward to sharing some of this information with my class on Tuesday evening. Thank you!
I am generally too nervous to succeed in meditation. But once in a while, I really get into it. I think about a problem until I finally see what to do and then I feel like I can flit through the cosmos. It doesn't last long.
