I read that you are not supposed to take this daily. You should either take it a 3-4 times a week or daily for three weeks and then take a break for a full week. This may be needed because of the tolerance issue that Jackie described in her comment.

What part of the plant is to be consumed?
I started taking this herb and felt wonderful within several days but after a few weeks went by, I feel like it stopped working. Has anybody else experience similar problems or does anybody have any suggestions?

Here's a link to an article - most of the references at the bottom cite the studies. These are small studies for the most part, and in the more recent milk is used as the medium, which negates any value for a vegan since you don't kn ow where the benefit came from - the medium or the herb.
