You write: "Roll out of bed at least 20 minutes before sunrise.". What does that mean in the western hemisphere, where sunrise in summer is at about 4:00 am and in winter at about 8:00 am?
All great ideas! I already do many of these activities & believe in them. I think do perform ALL would be unreasonable time requirement for most people.
@ Erin- I personally don't think there is anything wrong w/moderate caffeine use. If it's coffe you are trying to rid, I love Yogi Green Tea Super- Antioxidant !
Erin - have you tried the warm water with lemon upon rising? It really stimulates the bowels.
I need coffee to help "move things along." What could I use to replace it with so I don't get constipated?
You can include OIL pulling in the wakeup routine. It is so beneficial.
Getting out of bed 20 minutes ahead of sunrise will be tough but I think it will be invigorating. Using a tongue scraper also sounds gross - but if that undigested stuff then it's better to remove it rather than have it reabsorb it. I plan to start that soon
P.S. Goat's milk is slightly thicker than cow's milk.
Ayurveda describes eight types of milk from different animal sources - goats milk is considered cooler in potency (not temperature) than cows milk, a cool potency pacifies vata and pitta.
Regarding the goat's milk, I think they are referring to the *effect* of the milk.
Note that they make no reference to the temperature of aloe or cucumbers.
the goat's milk comment got me, too. i can't think they mean cooler temperature wise, but i cannot account for what they actually do mean, so i'm wondering if they're just trying to sound highfalutin or something.
"Goat's milk is cooler and therefore preferable, but cow's milk is also fine."
How can goat's milk be "cooler" than cow's milk, unless it's actually like, cooler...in temperature...which would still have nothing to do with what kind of milk it was and more to do with how long it had been in the fridge!
