Yantra: The Tantric Symbol of Cosmic Unity by Madhu Khanna

By Phil Catalfo

Inner Traditions; www.innertraditions.com.

Valued as both symbols and meditation tools, the geometrical patterns known as yantras are among the lesser-known components of the yoga tradition, seldom given a book-length treatment. Originally published in London in 1979 and now available in a handsome new American paperback edition, Yantra explores the dynamics, metaphysics, aesthetics, and ritual importance of yantras in an authoritative, profusely illustrated presentation that will satisfy the curiosity of even the most ardent seeker.

This was an okay book but some of the language was not easy to read. I also ordered a new book published recently by Deepak Rana called Yantra, Mantra and Tantrism which is more understandable and over 30 writers contributed to this book. Would recommend it to all!
