Lilias describes Stargazing pose in her book "Lilias! Yoga". It's exactly as Jenni says.
I agree with Jenni. May I call you Jen? Either way, I hope you know that you will be a very good Yogi- I sense it. I am a semi-famous Yogi known for my interest in Hinduism. Thank you, Jenni, for posting that note. Om Shanti.
I believe Stargazer is similar to abdominal crunch done with hands clasped behind head and elbows wide. The big difference is that in stargazer the eyes focus on the ceiling at all times with no pulling of the neck forward to knees. The neck stays long and in line with spine!
I also, never heard of Stargazing. I am going to try to look it up. The poses listed in this article should have been shown like in the past articles.
This article, without an illustration of the Stargazing pose, is not useful. Also, the Rolldown should be shown. I did search for the Stargazing pose in Google, both Web and images, and couldn't come up with an example.
Ditto, I am searching for star gazer...I think it is a seated straddle split with one foot on the inner thigh , reach one arm behind the back and lift the tailbone off the floor into a backbend
stargazing similar to GODDESS POSE with Hands and Fingers forward and spread in contrived position instead of floating as in Goddess....
I'm guessing the Stargazing pose is something like Cobra....I hate made up poses with no real descriptions.
sounds like stargazer is simply a crunch that you roll in and out of.
I'm with Misel. Can not find stargazing pose. It is not hyperlinked in the article like the other poses; nor can I find it by going to the 'poses' tab. Would love to learn about this pose. Please assist.
