my cat also loves it when i practice. she comes to join in - meows, rubs up against me, walks up and down my back when i am in childs pose or comes to lie on my chest when i am in savasana. it is so sweet!
My cat loves to get involved in my yoga! He walks over and under me, meows, rubs up against my legs, and sometimes burrows under the mat. He's such a cute distraction!
Does anyone know of any Doga classes in West Los Angeles or in greater LA? Thanks.
My dog makes it very difficult to do anything on the floor, as he sees it as an invitation to play. I often get pushed over or pounced on. Maybe the doggie massage would calm him down.....
Vladimir my cat also practices with me. He rolls around or just lays down and watchs. I leave my mat out all the time and he is always on it. Maybe I look like a big cat friend doing the poses.
I have a cat, Salem, who every day when I do my Yoga practice at home comes to seat near me and sometimes dance around me during the session.
I woul like to do this with my Belgian Shepper, Laika, but she is very timid. I think animals are very sensitive and can bring calm and serenity in our sessions. I think also that Yoga can be fun, like life. We can bring humour in our Yoga practice like in our life.
I am a beginner and just getting to the point where I can confidently put together sequences at home. My curious kitten, Link, love to help me out with this, winding under and around me as I move from pose to pose. I know yoga is about concentration, but having my kitten around to "help" reminds me not to take myself too seriously.
Likewise! My cat LOVES my mat, always laying on it while I let it out to dry or while I'm practicing. He walks underneath all of my bridge asanas. I always wonder what he's thinking!
I let my two puppies in the room when I practice. Our boston just sits and watches while our frenchie tries to do the poses along with me. It helps me stay lighthearted.
My cats do downward-facing dog all the time. Whenever I do something like upward bow, bridge pose, or downward dog, my cats like to crawl under the little gap it makes for them.
