Simply take your lunch in a REUSEABLE dish with your normal flatware. When finished, bring it home at the end of the day.
No need to buy all this stuff.
Common sense.

camp cookware & common sense indeed . . .

i carry MicroBites™ http://bit.ly/73hTCc - they're a 5-in-1m 2-piece set: Spoon, fork, knife, spatula and spreader that snap together. They're way prettier, less flimsy, guilt-free, and made of high-temperature nylon polymer weighing less than 1oz & can withstand up to 450°F (232°C)

And they're not just carbon neutral — but carbon negative. They're part of a program called C-Minus. Each set comes with 25lbs of verified green house emissions reductions purchased as offsets.

High Five Linda,

and the unwanted plasticboxes, containing the unwanted softeners, can easily be replaced by LIGHTWEIGHT, washable metalboxes - think camping-equipment.

The hysteria for politically correct behaviour sometimes overshadows good ol' common sense.

To Go Ware also offers great stainless steel containers and bamboo utensils as well. I love them! I take the bamboo utensils everywhere and have multiple sets...I think the website is www.to-goware.com but not sure

Can you offer whether or not these products can be purchased locally? Unfortunately the links to World Centric and Biobags did not connect to active sites. Any information on how to by these products locally would be so appreciated.

Cheers!

Julia

another company would be http://www.bdfs.net/products/TaterWare/

My client (a large bank) provides these at all their corporate headquarter sites.

reusable is not inconvenient.

Thank you so very much! While it's nice to reuse, of course, it's not always going to happen. This is a very nice alternative. I've been looking for these products, not so easy to find. I appreciate you taking the time to share this with us all.

We have been doing REUSABLE lunch containers and utensils for YEARS.
We use cloth bags or insulated bags (purchased years ago, just wash as needed).
The food goes into plastic containers (bring home, wash, use again).
The utensils are our trusty old stainless (bring home, wash, use again).
Bamboo, decomposables in 180 days sounds so cool, but what a waste of money and resources. Remember, resources need to be used to MAKE and TRANSPORT these items to you, and then TRANSPORT your biodegradable garbage to the landfill. Be a good role model to your lunch mates - show them that SIMPLY REUSING is really the best environmental approach.
