Great article. Thanks for sharing. For anyone interested, this site has helped me out also: http://yogaforsports.org/ Thanks, Scott
I've tried this sequence before my Taichi practice last week. It was a great help. I'm still recovering from my pulled muscle on my left thigh and this sequence just felt right when I did it. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with Laura! As a competitive horseback rider, I'd love to gain more insight on which poses would be most helpful. (I assume that's what you meant by riding...)
i used to ride horses, and i can definitely see how yoga would help with balance/confidence.
i do the yogajournal podcasts when i have no class available, but the forward bends series is a great help to my running.
off-topic, perhaps, but yoga helps me with breathing when i play the trombone (i'm trying to go pro with it). i imagine it would help with any wind instrument.
Really very good for health but we should follow everyday difficult let me try
Yoga will increase your enjoyment of your favorite sport. It will help you to extend your activity and keep you centered for peak performance. Many of my students use yoga in this way to support their tennis, golf and running activities! They tell me they swear by its positive impact on recovery from injury, strength building and "mind" management!

I love the integration of yoga into active sports..can anyone write on yoga and riding? I am taking lessons again after a 30 year hiatus and wow, the crossover of yoga and riding is incredible...
