If wild rice is not rice but a seed from a grass what is then the definition of rice?

interesting to know that jsasmine rice is boiled rice.. so is it like " parboiled " rice? many people say that parboiled rice is better in nutrition than say regular rice like basmati rice? any body?

Some information on which rice is easier to digest..... there is a classification based on the processing method- raw rice or boiled rice....essentially basmati is a form of raw rice while jasmine is prepared by some boiling process and is a 'boiled rice' ,of course, it has to be boiled again to make it fit for the table.....experience shows that boiled rice is easier on the digestive system...
