For medicinal purposes you grind the little black seeds but only grind enough to use for a couple of days. Once you grind it down it does not stay fresh for long

It would be nice if there was a bit more detail in this article - green or black cardamon seeds? If you buy a package do you have to do anything to use one as a lozenge or do you just pop one out of the bag and suck on it? Heard once you could place into a cup when you brewed some tea - do you open the pod or leave it whole?
