Ka: Stories of the Mind and Gods of India by Roberto Calasso

While not always easy to read, this translation of Ka is well worth the effort—and authored by one of the most insightful writers on the subject of consciousness today.

By Richard Rosen

In this translation, Ka is not always easy to read, but is well worth the effort. Calasso is right near the top of my list as one of the most insightful Western writers on the subject of consciousness.

Contributing editor Richard Rosen is deputy directory of the Yoga Research and Education Center in Sebastopol California, and teaches public classes at The Yoga Room, in Berkeley, and Piedmont Yoga, in Oakland.
