You want to know what’s in the food you eat … especially when it comes to GMOs. That’s why LÄRABAR has enrolled its products, which have always been made without GMO ingredients, in the Non-GMO Project.

GMOs, or “genetically modified organisms,” are plants or animals that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses, or other plants and animals. Virtually all commercial GMOs are engineered to withstand direct application of herbicide and/or to produce an insecticide.

While it’s still unclear whether GMOs are harmful to humans, a growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems, environmental damage, and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights, according to the Non-GMO Project. Nevertheless, GMO labeling still isn’t required in the U.S.

Want to be sure your snack is as safe as it is delicious? Fifteen LÄRABAR products have already been verified by the Non-GMO Project: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Cashew Cookie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Cookie, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Cherry Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie, Cappuccino, Blueberry Muffin, Lemon Bar, Key Lime Pie, Jocalat Chocolate, Jocalat Chocolate Hazelnut, and Renola Cinnamon Nut. That’s a label you can trust!
