Featured Issue:
Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, is a common hatha yoga sequence practiced to warm the body at the beginning of a yoga class or home practice session. Borrowing from the ancient tradition of prayer and prostration to the sun, this dynamic series pays homage to the life-giving power of the solar being while preparing the body for other asanas. There are many variations of Sun Salutation, most include 12 poses, and all ask you to move with the breath.
