Meaningful Change

A former classmate of mine recently quit his successful career at a top media company for a new job – as a counselor at a sleepaway camp where he spent his college summers. I was intrigued by his bold decision: Was he overwhelmed by corporate America? Did he long for a simpler, more meaningful existence?

If you’ve ever dreamt of quitting your job for a less stressful or more meaningful livelihood, you’re not alone. This week, meet four yogis who have transformed their lives by easing career stress – some through radical change. If you’re not interested in a career change, there are other ways to simplify your life. Embracing a more spiritual approach to your current job, for instance, could improve your work experience. However, if you fantasize daily about leaving the corporate world and teaching yoga full time, consider some expert advice before quitting your day job.

Namaste,

Andrea Kowalski
