The Yogi-Athlete |
|
I've been training for a charity 10K run for the past two months. I've spent limited time cycling and swimming on my alternate training days; yoga has been my most consistent form of cross-training. While I had my concerns about maintaining my A-game by way of asana, in fact my long runs have never felt stronger.
This week, learn how asana can complement your athletic endeavors, both physically and mentally. If you teach yoga, get pointers on how to teach athletes. If yoga is your only form of exercise, find out if it's enough to keep you fit. Finally, share your best tips for asana as cross-training.
Namaste,
Andrea Kowalski
