I am 72 years old , never did yoga , but I would like to learn is isit possible at my age?

Lynn Felder

I love Simhasana. I teach it at the end of a seated neck-and-shoulder series to relieve tension, or just toss it into a class when things are getting too somber.

Diana Sands

This pose, like Lilias Folan's "Victory Goddess" releases a huge amount of stored tension. When we allow ourselves to do something that looks ridiculous, we develop humility and lose the egotistical competitiveness which can prevent our participating in the deeper aspects of a yoga class.

I was telling a joke about this pose to my class full of college students and one student asked can we do it?! and everyone was like yeah! let's do it! My students have told me that was the best class I've taught yet lol

hazel

lexbwizzle

this one made me laugh alot!

NanaMolly

I love this pose, I use it regularly to release stress at the "first straw."

Jessy

I always feel weird when I do this pose, but afterwards my whole face feels relaxed and I can tell I was holding a lot of tension in my jaw. I've come to really enjoy this asana.

Katie

Lion pose is a specific yoga posture that activates the immune glands of the tonsils and the lymph nodes in the neck. Performing lion pose at the very beginning of a sore throat can dramatically stop and prevent the sore throat from progressing

Cheryl

I love the comment for partnering, "Nobody wants to partner with a lion." Made me laugh!
