Needs to be written better. My fingers don't move that way and it didn't do anything relaxing. You need to be a healthy nostril breather to do this.

Michel

it seems hard when you have problems with your nose anyway

Wendy

I began using this exercise while overcoming flying fears years ago to settle the mind. It still to this day puts me in a deep relaxed state of mind once completed. Try it a couple of times a day morning noon and before bed time.

The alternate nostril breaths have various benefits, balancing breath, energies, and cleansing nadis. However, there are a variety of practices each with their own benefits & contraindications - YJ have a wide range listed with more detail. I love Nadi Sodhana, not least for its calming effect. Why use especially RING finger?
What is the reason? (I guess there should be reason)
Why not to use INDEX finger instead?
This eats me :-) !
