Sarah-I don't think it's so much as it takes away oxygen from the baby, it's that because of having a baby inside of her, her organs are all already squished together and breathing can be difficult enough as it is...

i have found this very useful.


I believe pregnant women should avoid breath retention as this has a direct effect on the oxygen supply to the baby. please comment.

What about Bahya Kumbhaka. Is high pressure also contraindication to it ?


dont read yoga journal - read iyengar, light on pranyama - this is a good resource


Trust your inner guidance, go within and ask your question the answer will come. Some practices are not for all aspirants use your intuition.
